Pain Kelpie
By Paul Dale Roberts, HPI Esoteric Detective

One thing about HPI Paranormal Intelligence Operatives is that we seek out the answers to a haunting. Were up all night to get lucky, may it be natural causes, paranormal activity, etc. I hope tonight we 'get lucky'. Now listen to Daft Punk and 'Get Lucky':

Date to be there: June 28, 2013, Friday Time to be there: 8pm Location to be at: El Dorado Hills, CA / Case Manager Staci Butler says: "My friend Rosie works at a haunted location. El Dorado Pain Management, at El Dorado Hills, CA 95762. Her co-worker and herself have seen a man as shadow form, and as a full-body apparition who seemed to be holding a body in his arms. He is moving things on people's desks like pens, opens and closes doors, and turned on the water and left it on. Basically they just want answers and maybe a cleaning, they are worried the activity will escalate if they don't do something."

Grant Line Boogie Man
Since our investigation at the doctor’s office was canceled at the last moment, my investigators were hungry for an investigation. Wendy Maxam, the Case Manager found us a home that runs parallel to Grant Line Road. Grant Line Road is a road that has seen many car accident fatalities. One of those unfortunate accidents occurred in 1984. A pedestrian walking alongside Grant Line Road in the Elk Grove area was hit by a vehicle. The vehicle sped off and the culprit who hit this man was never caught. A classic hit and run fatality. The man wearing a floppy brimmed hat, long beard, mustache, corduroy shirt, blue jeans was found sprawled out on Grant Line Road. He had several broken ribs and part of his skull was crushed. There was blood everywhere. The man appeared to be 35 years of age. He was never identified; he was classified as a John Doe. Legend has it that late at night, when the fog rolls in; drivers on this road will see a murky figure. A figure wearing a floppy brimmed hat walking alongside the road. On one particular foggy night, a big rig cruising down Grant Line Road happened upon this strange apparition. The truck driver felt like he may have hit this pedestrian. He stopped his truck immediately and got out looking for the man. Out of the fog, he could see the silhouette of a man in a floppy brimmed hat. The truck driver asked the man if he was okay. The man slowly turned towards the truck driver and when he raised his head to reveal his face, his face was covered in blood. The truck driver was shocked beyond belief and started apologizing, thinking he ran the pedestrian over. Suddenly a wave of fog swept in and the man simply vanished with the wave of the fog. The truck driver just witnessed a paranormal event. He witnessed the Grant Line Boogie Man.

So tonight, my team will search for the Grant Line Boogie Man . Is it possible that this entity may be inside the home that is near Grant Line Road?

In honor of the upcoming Summer blockbuster movie Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., tonight we all become HPI SHIELD Agents. HPI SHIELD Agents (Roll Call): Paul Dale Roberts, HPI Owner; Deanna Bailey – Lead Investigator; Shari Aresta – Lead Investigator; Kara Koyasako –Spiritual Songstress – Master of Coin; Wendy Maxam – Case Manager; Donna Anderson – Psychic; Larry Baty – Technician; Jon Koyasako – Lead Investigator / Security. Special Note: Alaceo ‘Big Al’ Rosatano - did a preliminary scouting check of the doctor’s office at El Dorado Hills – checking to see if there was any type of paranormal activity on the outside perimeters of this office. I will wait for his report.

Make sure to see the new SHIELD movie, see link here:
Special Note: S.H.I.E.L.D. stands for Supreme Headquarters International Espionage Law Enforcement Division, then later the name changed to: Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate.

After one long thorough investigation of this home, we weren’t even catching dust orbs. No anomalies in our photographs and no EVPs. This house was clean. We had two odd things happen. 5 kitchen lights started dimming off and on for a period of 6 minutes. Could this be some kind of electrical malfunction? The other odd thing, I was locked in the bathroom for a period of 4 minutes. The bathroom door was unlocked, but yet I was unable to open the door for 4 minutes. I am not sure what happened that caused the door to stay closed. This investigation was inconclusive.

We ended the night by hitting the swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Thank you Wendy for providing sodas and thank you Shari for providing the pizza.

I believe there is no haunting activity in this house. I don’t believe the Grant Line Boogie Man visits this home. The home was beautiful, love the swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Even though we did not find any conclusive evidence, it was still a fun place to investigate. To me, it was still a successful impromptu investigation.

Goldie Moore Has a Story!
I have a story for you! In November 2011 I was down in Hanford, a friend of mine works for Adventist health down there. she works at the old emergency site before they moved the ER! So while I was hanging with her, she was working on a Saturday there, the security guards came around, she introduced them and we started to talk about how creepy it is to have a closed emergency room! Well, they began to tell me how haunted this place was! I got so exited and begged to go inside and see! first they told me of the happenings in the old, ICU unit, how every time they go in, one of the TV sets are on and a chair is pushed up in front of it! Sure enough, there it was! TV on and the chair in front of it! They said it is happening every day! As we walked down the corridor, past the ICU rooms I could feel a hostile entity, as I stood in front of the third door, all of a sudden I could feel hands around my throat and they were squeezing my throat, I tried talking and my voice got all high and shaky like my air was being cut off and like I had a thumb on my voice box. These guys saw it happening! They heard me gasping and thank god they were believers, they quickly grabbed me by the arm and pulled me out of there! They were like we warned you! Never - never - never in my life before or after, has something like this happened! You need to go in there! Then they took me into the actual ER they told me the alarm goes off in there 10 times a day! While I was there I saw chairs roll across the room, things were falling all by them selves, then as I stood next to these mini blinds that were on this table the blinds flung themselves onto the floor. In a back room I could hear this alarm of an IV machine going off. I asked whet was behind the door and why don't they turn the machine off, they said they couldn't get into that room because some how all the furniture inside was piled up behind the door and no one could get in! They said both of them have pushed on it together and they cannot move it. They said that the door isn't locked. Now I am pretty sure I can get you in there! We could spend the night too??? This isn't the old old hospital either!

Hi Dad & Dale,
I don't know if you remember Tom Gonzalas, I went to HS with him and he was my prom date at the Junior Prom when he was a Sophmore. Anyhow, just found out on Facebook that he is the costume designer, hair stylist and makeup artist for Beauty and the Beast, and other shows! He's the hair & make up artist for the View as well! He is currently working on a project with Ron Howard. Neat to see a local boy turn out great! Plus I was the last girl he ever dated!
Love, Sharon

Possible Upcoming Case: Occupant Barbara Wilson in Elk Grove says: “Ever since an Angel Coin magically appeared out of nowhere, my house seems to be haunted. I hear footsteps constantly. I think it’s my deceased husband. I always wake up in the middle of the night and my deceased husband is on my mind.” Note: Angel Coins were commissioned in 1792 by King Louis XVI. Case Manager: Terri Smith. Pending Case Number: 5389610691. Special Code: delay33berta82

T-Rex was my black Chow. He died at the age of 16. One night he had a bad cough and he wanted outside. He went to the garage to lay down. At 3am, T-Rex gave out a big yelp. I went outside and he wouldn't move. I petted him and told him that tomorrow I would take him to the vet if he wasn't feeling well. He calmed down and went to sleep. In the morning, I went outside and there was a huge saliva circle around his head. He went into rigamortis. He was dead. I was shocked. I cried like a baby. I buried T-Rex in Rocklin, CA. Three nights after his burial, Pika - my Jack Russell Terrier stood at the end of the bed and looked out towards the sliding door window where T-Rex would go through to go into the backyard and started wimpering, then all of a sudden the bedroom had a strong odor, the smell of T-Rex. The smell lasted for 7 minutes. During the 7 minutes, Pika went crazy. After the smell dissipated, Pika calmed down. To this day, I believe it was T-Rex saying goodbye to Pika and me.
